"If you are entering market in Nigeria, make sure all your 6 senses are active"

When I was in secondary school I had always dreamt of having my own phone, so when I entered senior secondary school I started saving towards it, so by SS1 third term I had gathered up to 8k and I decided that that should be enough to get me a quite good second hand symbian phone....

So one Friday, on my way back from school I decided to finally fulfill my lovely dream, I branched to Suru Alaba and I started walking around looking for where they were selling phone after minutes of looking and asking around, I saw one man in one corner selling phones, so I walked over to his shop and checked his phones out, as I was skimming through the assorted phones he had on his show glass, one particular phone caught my attention, it was one popular symbian brand then that had 41 mega pixel camera and other tempting features, I asked the man how much the phone went for, and he told me that it was 10k, I started begging and negotiating with the man and he said he was going to sell it to me at 8k last, 41 mega pixel dey shak my head so I gave him my entire savings, time was running out and I didn't really have time to go through the phone and the battery was dead so I couldn't turn it on there, so I just went home.... When I got home, I discovered that I didn't have usb charger so I resorted to using desktop charger to charge the battery, I was supposed to go for vigil that night so when it was time I quickly unplugged the battery and rushed to church to show off my 41 mega pixel phone, as I got to church, I met my friends sha and I started boasting about my new phone, they requested to see it, so I obliged, I brought the phone out and inserted the battery, as I put on the phone, if you hear how loud this speaker was eh, people around us were even thinking that vigil was already starting, until I told them not to panic that it was only my phone, I knew I was done for when I saw the Nokia phone coming on with M-horse logo, I wanted the ground to just open uo and swallow me, my friends were just laughing hysterically at me, the worst part of it all was that upon the length of time I charged the battery, this stupid phone was showing me battery low, so I decided to borrow charger from a friend, as I plugged in the charger the phone showed "earphone in", I was just confused, so I decided to listen to music at least to cool my head, I plugged in my earpiece the stupid phone showed me "charger connected", I wanted to start crying at that point, I remembered that the phone was supposed to have 41 mega pixel camera, so I decided to check that one out, as I open the camera like this, I immediately regretted ever dreaming of getting my own phoy, the camera was as blurry as all these small tecno phone's camera, I just resolved in my heart that I was going to return that disgrace of a phone to the wicked man, the rest of the vigil was the saddest 5 hours of my life...

Saturday evening found me back at Suru Alaba, I went to the spot I bought the phone, and to my utmost surprise, I didn't see the man there, I wanted to just run mad, I started walking around Alaba like a lunatic, then I finally saw the man, he was now selling stock fish and dry fish, I hurriedly ran up to him and confronted him about the phone he sold to me, next thing I heard was "do I know you", I was like this man must be messing with me sha, you sold this phone to me yesterday evening na, he na started telling me that he has never sold phone in his life, that he inherited this fish business from his father, at that point, tears started rolling down my face, I started shouting that I was sure of what I was saying that he should not try to play trick on me, when the man saw that I wasn't planning to leave there anytime soon, he na said that I should give him the phone let him give me two stock fish, I was actually considering the deal, since two stock fishes seemed better to me than that abomination of a phone(At least it will serve well in soup), but when I remembered that I could at least use the phone to be receiving and making calls, I decided to keep the phone and I just left there in anger...

And that was how I was stuck with Nokia M- horse

I repeat don't enter any Nigerian market without your six senses being ultra active.
